Through direct intervention efforts, our Life Transition & Intervention Coordinators—many of whom have walked a similar path—build authentic relationships with young people. Mr. Wesley MooreDirector

Wesley is a proud native of Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Moore grew up in the short north neighborhood. Raised in a rough environment, Wesley and his brother Markey learned at a very young age how to survive homelessness, in a neighborhood full of crime, drugs, and violence. Wesley became a part of the original Short North Posse and was sentenced to 15 years in prison at the age of 18. While incarcerated he educated himself on the law, created beautiful chess boards, and sculptured pieces. After being released in 2008, he found a career in credit debt collection and along with his brother started a construction company that focuses on providing temporary housing for youth transitioning out of foster care and families transitioning out of the shelters.

He is most proud of the Mentoring and Youth Leadership Program he and his brother created in 2016 now called Ours Brothers Keepers (OBK). OBK has provided temporary housing, after- school programming, employment, academic support, and skill training workshops for youth and young adults ages 14-25.
